From sourcing your vehicle overseas to handing you the keys — here's exactly how we bring a 70-Series Land Cruiser to North America.
Importing a vehicle from overseas is a complex process involving auctions, inspections, shipping logistics, customs clearance, emissions compliance, and registration. We handle every step so you don't have to navigate the bureaucracy yourself.
The typical timeline from initial consultation to taking delivery is 8–14 weeks, depending on vehicle location, shipping routes, and any preparation work requested.
Vehicle sourcing and pre-purchase inspection

Customs clearance and duty payment
EPA / DOT compliance (where applicable)

We start with a conversation about what you're looking for — model, year range, color preferences, budget, and intended use. Whether you want a pristine low-km collector's piece or a ready-to-build expedition platform, we'll help you define the right spec. You'll receive a detailed cost estimate covering vehicle, shipping, duties, and preparation.
Using our network of auction houses, dealers, and private contacts in Japan, Australia, and the Middle East, we locate vehicles matching your criteria. Each candidate is vetted through auction inspection reports, chassis condition checks, service history review, and (where possible) physical inspection by our overseas partners. You'll receive photos, reports, and our honest assessment before any purchase is made.
Once you approve a vehicle, we handle the purchase, payment, and export paperwork. The vehicle is collected, deregistered in its country of origin, and prepared for international shipping. We'll coordinate either container (enclosed) or Roll-on/Roll-off shipping depending on your preference and budget.
Shipping typically takes 4–6 weeks depending on origin and destination port. We provide tracking information and keep you updated throughout transit. Vehicles are fully insured during ocean transport.
Upon arrival at port, we handle all customs clearance, duty payments, and compliance requirements. For vehicles qualifying under the 25-year rule (US) or 15-year rule (Canada), this is straightforward. We manage all the paperwork with CBP/CBSA and ensure the vehicle clears without delays.
Every vehicle receives a thorough mechanical inspection and service before delivery. This includes a full fluid change, brake inspection, suspension check, and road test. Optional services include upgraded suspension, lighting, audio, interior restoration, rust treatment, and custom fabrication. We'll discuss your needs and quote accordingly.
We assist with titling and provide all documentation needed for registration in your state or province. Delivery can be arranged to your door via enclosed transport, or you're welcome to pick up your vehicle in person. We hand over a comprehensive documentation package including import records, inspection reports, and service receipts.
We believe in upfront, honest pricing. Here's a general breakdown of what goes into a typical import. Exact costs vary based on vehicle, origin, and preparation scope.
